Asian Communities in the UK
Local and national policies have for years systematically failed those with culturally distinct needs such as Malaysian
Groups and within that, the Asian Community. Language barriers and lack of cultural understanding resulting from the ‘one size fits all approach' have meant that black and minority ethnic groups are significantly disadvantaged within mainstream British society.
We work in partnership to address many of these inequalities. We have more than 200 partner organisations South Asian community across England , helping building their capacity and providing them with information to enable them to best serve the Asian Community. We also are a service provider through our unique culturally appropriate counselling sessions accessing many individuals and community groups. We aim to work from individual, community and national level to develop long term sustainable partnerships.
We have a team of highly experienced psychotherapists and counsellors all of whom are fully accredited and insured. They have been working for many years within the Asian Community and offer information, advice and counselling in all major Asian languages like malaysian for example.
